Using Google Search on Your Website

Using Google to Power Your Website Search

Most large-scale websites are now using a site search feature, making it easier for customers to find what they need, and fast. Site search has proven to increase site engagement and customer service. Recently, Google announced that it would be discontinuing one of its most popular search products, Google Site Search. Known for being easy to use and manage, web teams and customers have both grown to rely on its robust features.

Finding a Solution for the City of Somerville

Net Tango worked with the City of Somerville, Massachusetts on the original implementation of Google Site Search, so when the announcement came from Google, they reached out to us once again. Our team worked with the City of Somerville to design and implement a new search functionality solution. Using Google’s Custom Search engine, Net Tango planned a seamless transition with no downtime on their website.

“We just finished our second project with Net Tango, and we were once again impressed by their responsiveness, fair pricing, and high-quality work. They stepped in to handle specialty work on Drupal and Google Search that other vendors didn’t feel comfortable taking on. They play well with other vendors and get work completed on time.” -Dan Moore, Webmaster & Web Developer
